Places to buy Playing Cards in Singapore

I have been buying my cards from a few places in Singapore and these are some of my recommendations:



A) Magic Castle

They have a website: www.magiccastle.com.sg and they just recently relocated to Orchard Plaza. Bigger place for shopping and they even have an album of all the playing cards they have!!! Feels like going to Disney Land when I am always there!

Pros
1) Wide range of playing cards: They do have a LOT of playing cards.... they even have some of the latest deck in the market which I do not even see in other shops.

2) Very, very affordable price: Their bicycle decks are $4 only!!! (If you are a member, its $3!!!Super cheap!) Other places are selling at $4.50 or even $6! Daylight robbery at other places! They also give one of the best prices and if you buy certain decks, you get a free bicycle deck or even tally ho (drool...)

Cons
1) You really need to know what decks you want. They really do have too many decks and I m always contemplating and lost for choices... check with Kobe and Jay if you want to find decks that are not on their website.

2) Some decks are really popular and sold out quite fast :((((   like the recent Kings Playing Cards. I missed out the first batch but luckily they managed to restock.



B) Magic Hall


They are located at plaza singapura and has a website too: http://www.themagichall.com/

Pros:

1)  Decks are openly displayed: They have less selection of playing cards. And sometimes you can find much older decks here at a good price.

2) Have an area for you to practice cards: They have an area where you can jam and do card tricks. Talk to Arthur if you want to use the area.

Cons:

1) Higher price: Most of their decks are at a higher price. Maybe they are located in Plaza Singapura? Higher rent?

2) Few selection of decks: Their decks are not very updated and do not have the very popular and new decks in the market.



C) Poker Maniac

They are located at Bugis + and they have a website too: http://www.pokermanic.com.sg/

Pros:

1) Range of Playing Cards: They used to have much more selection of playing cards and they have fake jerry nuggets for sale too! But I just want to wait one day that Santa Claus will get me a deck of Real Jerry Nuggets :P

2) Okay price: If you do not want to hop around different shops, their price is slightly about average but you can get some of the latest deck in the market.

Cons:

1) Not a lot of new playing cards in the market now. Have to drop by the store to enquire about the decks.

D) Boxes and Lockers in Shopping Centers

Pros:

1) Convenient: Sometimes, if you do not want to travel to the central, you can ease your itch by purchasing the cards nearby

2) Good Price: For some decks, the prices are cheaper here compared to Magic Hall and Poker Maniac.

Cons:
1) Prices tend to change: The prices of some decks might change after a few weeks???

2) High turnover: This month you see the locker selling decks, next month change to handphone accessories. Occasionally, go back to sell decks at different prices? Not even sure if it is the same seller selling the cards sometimes....
